Detroit Chapter 9, “LZ Motown,” is part of a national organization that is passionate about helping Vietnam veterans and their families with a variety of issues.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
You can join the VVA, or our auxiliary organization, Volunteer to help us with events, or donate money to one of our charitable funds.
Supporting Vietnam Veterans
Members of Chapter 9 were involved in supporting their brothers even before the VVA was established. As the needs of Vietnam veterans have evolved over the years, so has the focus of our efforts.

Supporting Veterans Locally
Whether it’s participating in the Metropolitan Detroit Veterans Coalition, which conducts the annual Veterans Day Parade, assisting veterans in the local VA hospital, or reaching out to veterans in local universities, chapter members look to support all of our local brothers and sisters in arms.

Advocating Legislative Action
From the earliest days, members have advocated for legislation needed to provide the assistance and support earned by veterans. Our work to obtain coverage for Agent Orange-related illnesses is just one example.

Supporting Our Community
Detroit is our home. We are active on City Council committees, provide academic scholarships for graduating seniors, assist graduates entering into the skilled trades and support charities helping Detroiters in need.
