Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan with City Council held a proclamation ceremony at City Hall with the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
A plaque and a flag were presented to pay tribute to city residents who were wounded or killed in combat as part of the declaration, supporting and honoring veterans, active duty military, reserves and their families.
