During the event, Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel spoke about the importance of honoring our veterans and recognizing their contributions to our country.

The Vietnam Veterans of America Detroit Chapter 9 and its AVVA have a long history of supporting veterans in the Detroit area.

This event was a powerful reminder of the sacrifices that our veterans have made to protect our freedoms and uphold our values. It was also a testament to the strong sense of community and support that exists among veterans and their families.

As we reflect on this event, let us remember the many veterans who have served our country and continue to serve today. Let us honor their sacrifices and work together to ensure that they receive the support and recognition they deserve.

A major objective of Chapter 9 has been to establish a memorial in the heart of the city which will recognize and honor all Greater Detroit area service men and women.
