An evening of recognition, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to supporting Michigan’s veterans.
DETROIT, MI – Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) Detroit Chapter 9 was proud to be among the sponsors of the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund’s Annual Dinner & Auction, held at the historic Detroit Athletic Club.
The gala brought together veterans, community leaders, supporters, and organizations united by a common mission: honoring those who have served our nation while providing meaningful assistance to veterans and military families facing hardship.
Representing Detroit Chapter 9, Paul Edelstein was joined by fellow chapter members and their spouses, making the evening a special opportunity to celebrate friendship, camaraderie, and a shared dedication to the veteran community.
Recognizing a Commitment to Veterans
One of the evening’s highlights was the formal recognition of Paul Edelstein for his longstanding support of the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund and its mission.
Surrounded by fellow Chapter 9 members and their spouses, the recognition reflected not only Paul’s individual commitment but also the chapter’s collective dedication to supporting veterans throughout Michigan.
The occasion reinforced an important message: making a difference in the lives of veterans requires more than words of appreciation. It takes action, partnerships, and people willing to step forward.
A Partnership That Makes a Real Difference
Detroit Chapter 9 is proud of its ongoing partnership with the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund (FWSF), working together to provide much-needed assistance to veterans facing financial hardships and unexpected challenges.
Through collaboration and direct support, the organizations help connect veterans with critical resources and assistance when they need it most.
For Chapter 9, supporting the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund is more than sponsorship. It is an extension of the chapter’s mission to ensure that no veteran is left behind.
Continuing a Legacy of Service
The evening at the Detroit Athletic Club was a meaningful reminder of the strength of Michigan’s veteran community and the lasting bonds formed through military service.
Chapter 9 extends its appreciation to the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund’s leadership, volunteers, and supporters for their outstanding work, as well as to the chapter members and spouses who attended and helped make the evening memorable.
As Vietnam Veterans of America proudly declares:
“Never Again Will One Generation of Veterans Abandon Another.”
That commitment continues to guide Detroit Chapter 9’s efforts to advocate for, assist, and honor veterans across our community.
Together, we honor their service. Together, we support their needs. And together, we ensure that no veteran is forgotten.
